Mountain View Log Homes of Montana is nestled in the beautiful Swan Valley. A longtime valley resident, Lloyd Hahn, founded the company in the early 1980’s. Upon Lloyd’s retirement in January of 2006, a native of the Swan Valley, Joe Anderson, purchased the company. To guarantee continuing quality and craftsmanship that has become synonymous with Mountain View Log Homes, Joe brought back one of the original employees, Dan Jorgensen. Dan has 30 years of experience in log home construction.
Mountain View Log Homes offers an array of building services, from the construction of a small hunting cabin to large custom commercial buildings. We offer log styles such as the Swedish Cope, Full Round Saddle Notch chink style and the Dovetail featuring flattened logs with the option of having a hand- hewed look. We also provide log accents to conventional frame construction such as character logs, log siding, custom log trusses, archways, gates, benches, and landscape logs.
The craftsmanship we offer begins with the hand peeling of raw logs. We use only full-length larch, spruce or lodgepole pine logs that are selected only after careful inspection to ensure the quality and integrity of the wood. The logs are then hand scribed and notched to fit. The log shell is handcrafted in our log yard before going to your site. Each log is then numbered and loaded onto trucks for shipment. Upon arrival at your site the logs are then erected onto your foundation and sub floor. Each round of logs are carefully placed and pinned to insure the integrity of the structure.
We are proud of the quality work we do and the exceptional customer attention we provide.
